Grandma's Quilt to Be

OK.  I am so excited to be figuring this all out.  I created a quilt this morning on my new EQ7.  A total recommend for all you want to be quilt designers like me.  I have a hard time visualizing what a quilt will look like in certain colors and this can REALLY help.

I want to make a quilt for my grandma who just moved in with my mum.  Pap died in January and we didn't want her to be alone.

Here is what the quilt looks like:

Here is what the outline looks like in case you want to color your own:

You can get the file by clicking here.

Here is what just the block looks like:

You can get the paper piecing block by clicking here.  It is for a 12 in block and is a 4 page print out.

It looks like this:

Hopefully I will get to work on it soon.  Now I just have to find all those beautiful shades of purple!!!!  Off to etsy!

Enjoy.  I'll post pics later!!!

How to insert a PDF

OK, so does anyone know how to insert a pdf into a blog?    All these blogs I visit have links that open pdfs.  I have some beautiful paper piecing pdfs and tutes I'd like to post (just bought EQ7 and have been playing a lot), but I don't know how to upload a pdf.

Please leave a comment if you know!!!!  Thanks!

Happy Hippie Purse

THE HAPPY HIPPY BAG

OK, I did it. I hand pieced little hexies and made then into a bag...a BIG bag. It was so much fun to make. I had NO idea where I was going when I started piecing these little buggers, but I was having so much fun with my scraps, I really didn't care. Then I placed then on an ivory on ivory because I was going to turn them into a pouch, but then started playing around and voila....the Happy Hippy bag!

Here are some more pics

Let me know what you think. It is for sale at Stormy Blue Pottery in Murrysville, PA!
